This block is not presented as religious fact. More so, it is offered
as a means to present the creation of the world and the human being. The stories of Noah, Moses, and Abraham are
particularly exciting to children at this age. The stories contain powerful language which is usually new to the
ear. Alternative stories related to creation may be told in cultures where the Old Testament stories may be considered
inappropriate, yet should include the themes of divine creation, a figure of authority (reflects the need for authentic authority taking
place during the nine-year change), the loss of innocence, and the need for law.
This picture is part of series of artistic expressions of the
7 Days of Creation. This is an expression of Paradise. These stories
are so rich with symbolism that they relate well to to the essence of this particular year for children. Here we can think
of Paradise ("the Garden") as representative of the early childhood part of life.

"Let There Be Light!" This picture represents the creation angels placing the sun, moon, and stars in order.
Children at this age enjoy considering how everything has its place, and that they also are "home".
